Where is Santi Universe based?
We are a web and graphic design studio in Johannesburg, based in Roodepoort in Gauteng, South Africa. We work remotely too, with clients across South Africa, in Kenya and around the world.
What services do you offer?
Web design and development, graphic design and branding, AI engineering (chatbots, automations and integrations), AEO so AI search can find and recommend you, managed web hosting, and custom WordPress development including plugins.
Do you only work with businesses in Johannesburg?
No. Many of our clients are in Johannesburg and across Gauteng, but we are remote-first and work with businesses throughout South Africa, in Kenya and internationally.
How much does a website or brand identity cost?
Every project is quoted to its scope, so there is no one-size price. Tell us about your project in our four-step quote form or send us a message, and we will reply within one business day.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the scope. The timeline is agreed and set out in your proposal before any work starts, so you know what to expect from day one.
How does payment work?
Unless your proposal says otherwise, we invoice a 50% deposit before work starts and the remaining 50% on completion, before final files are handed over or the website goes live.
How many revisions are included?
Each design stage includes up to three rounds of revisions. Anything beyond that, or outside the agreed scope, is quoted before we do it.
Can you help my business show up in ChatGPT and AI search?
Yes. That is Answer Engine Optimization (AEO): we make your site easy for ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI tools to read, understand and recommend. Start with our free AEO check to see your score. We follow recognised good practice but cannot guarantee specific rankings or mentions.
Do you offer website hosting and maintenance?
Yes. Managed hosting and maintenance are billed monthly and continue month to month; either side can cancel with 30 days’ written notice.
